8 Shaped Sweets

Just the other day I was dining at Otak-Otak Place, I saw something that I used to have during my childhood. I'm so happy as they were selling the sweets that I used to buy when I was a kid. It really brings back my memories. Those day, the 8 shape sweets cost around 20cents but now it cost at RM1. Well, those were the days.

Besides the 8 shaped sweets, I also saw something that I will buy whenever the "Roti Man" passed by because those days I too small to go out to the indian shop. It's Ding Dang chocolates that comes with toys. The toys I got were the gashapons. It costs RM2 now compared to 40cents. I miss those days.

Today, I went to the Gardens to have my lunch together withmy angel. She's been yearning to eat at Fong Lye as normally dinner time is pack with people so it's a good time to eat at lunch. She ordered the Taiwan Minced Meat Sauce Noodle which happened to be one of her favourite.

Well, as for me, I don't feel any hungry so I ordered some of Taiwan's snacks. I love sausages so I ordered the Taiwan Baked Sausage and then out of a sudden, I added a Taiwan Coconut Milk Toast as the picture on the menu looks nice.

Is The Price Reasonable?

I'm a collector of the Three Kingdom BB Gundam and so happy as I'm going to collect it and play it later as most of the series cost around rm22.90 before the financial crisis. As now is the financial crisis, the priced went up from rm22.90 to rm33.90 means it still ok for me to buy it but today I saw something that shock me as I can still can get it at rm33.00 for the item. It's a continuous series of the Three Kingdom BB Gundam. It's no:18 Lu Xun. As I was going to pay it at the counter, I saw the price of the item is rm88.90 for Lu Xun.....? I quickly put back and went off. As you can see the price tag from which toys store.

It's been almost a month that me and my angel went to a fast food outlet to enjoy our dinner. Tonight we went to this New York New York Deli which was located at LG of One Utama New Wing. It was opened quite some time. The place is nice so and the waiter served us as soon as we sat down. My angel ordered the Pumpkin Patch Soup for appetiser.

Then she ordered the Latino Chicken Chop. It 's good as it followed the Latino's style of cooking and I love the gravy. It's worth to try it out for the 1st time and as for me, I tried out one of NYNY chef's speciality, Crazy Dog. We normally have hot dog burgers but this was special because they use a huge 12" hot dog in a little bun. Isn't it adorable?

I went to Kota Damansara with Amy today, as I was told that there's a good chicken rice shop. The name is Restoran Kar Heong, best of Hainanese Chicken. As soon as we sat, we ordered their famous Hainanese Chicken espcially Kampung Chicken. We ordered the 2 pax package that comes with chicken drumstick.

This is the second time in 3 days I had Hainanese Chicken Rice. It was good and as usual we ordered the Pork Ball Soup but here is only 5pcs compared to the one we ate at Jln Gasing but the soup is far more better so if you are there, remembered to order the Pork Ball Soup.

Besides that, we ordered the usual when we eat chicken rice, Roasted Pork and this time we added Char Siew as I saw the Char Siew is nice and look delicious. Lastly, we added the normal Tau Geh(beansprouts) so to make my lunch complete. We had a great lunch.

Free GSC Movie Ticket. What's the catch? Well, all you have to do is buy a pack of Kit Kat to redeem it. I'm happy as I managed to get 6 free tickets. All thanks to my friend today as I met him up at Mid Valley Jaya Jusco Supermarket. As Kit Kat having promotion is that you have to buy a pack of Kit Kat in order to get a movie and the time frame is until end of June. It's good so now it's the time to get the free tickets. Yesterday after the movie, we went to look for food for our dinner. Since every eatery shop in Mid Valley I had tried before so no point eating here. On our way home, in a snap, I think of chicken rice so we went to thic chicken rice shop at Jln Gasing.

As soon we sat down, I quickly ordered the Roasted Pork, Ipoh White Chicken(remembered to ask for ayam "kampung"). The roasted pork was so crunchy as when you bite it, you can still hear it. Then we ordered the Pork Ball Soup as just 2 of us, they gave us small bowl and Taugeh. Luckily we ordered small portion as me already feeling very full after eating the 2 dishes but anyway, we still sapu everything. I'm very happy with our dinner.

Today me and my angel went to Mid Valley to see the Wedding Exhibition and after that, we went for our lunch at Little Taiwan. It's neat the GSC Cinema. A lot varieties so I ordered the Braised Pork Rice as I'm hungry. As for my angel, she's quite full so she didn't ordered the main course. I ordered the Pan Fried Dumplings. The food is tasty so I'm happy with the service too.

Besides that, we ordered the Taiwanese Treasure Box and the Four Colour Roll so at the end of the day, I'm happy with my lunch. After lunch we went for our movie session. A great day for me to eat something nice. Give it a try if you are there.

Me and Amy went for a supper last night at KL. We were going for the Taiwanese Porridge which I forgotten the name as it was near the Sakura but end up the shop was no more. Well, since we were there, we cari-cari makan around the area.

We stopped by the Soo Kee Mee to have our supper as this shop famous for their Sang Har Mee and Kon Chau Hor. As we can't eat beef so we ordered the Sang Har Mee for our supper. The waiter asked us whether we want the medium prawn or the big prawn, and without asking for Amy to decide, I asked for the big prawn. Since it takes time to cook, I ordered the Paper Wrapped Chicken for appetiser. Hehehehehe and feeling quilty to eat so much. I ordered the Kam Heong Lala for my angel as she likes Lala.

Sang Har Mee

As we finished our food but still waiting for the Sang Har Mee finally sent to our table. The aroma of Sang Har Mee was good and makes us more hungry. As soon as the waiter put the Sang har Meen on the table, we started eating and I quickly ate a prawn before the mee. Well, It was a good supper.

Another Penang food restaurant located at One Utama. This is the second or third similar restaurant opened in One Utama. I went there in the evening after work to have dinner there. This place is located next to Otak-Otak Place which I blogged it recently. It was fast when I ordered the food and I was thinking whether they already prepared and put in the fridge. I dont't mind as I'm so hungry.

I ordered their special of the day which happened to be Nyonya Set. The set is served with rice, Chicken Kari Kapitan, Jiu Hoo Jar and Mint Omellete and my mom ordered the Mee Rebus. The Chicken Kari Kapitan is good. Besides that, my mom ordered the Cendol but I preferred the one I ate in Restaurant Lorong Seratus Tahun. Well, at the end of the day, I'm satisfied with my dinner.
